Antidepressant medication can be used to help treat depression. While they can make your depression better many of the medications have their own side effects and dangers. It is important to know as much as possible about the different medications so you can be aware of any possible problems with the antidepressant medication.

Many antidepressant medication works by changing the chemical levels in your brain. A lot of depression can be linked to a chemical imbalance so the antidepressant treatments work by bringing the chemicals back into their correct levels. One such medication, Prozac, increases the serotonin in the brain. Interestingly enough though depression is not necessarily caused by low levels of serotonin.

Criteria To Diagnose Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis affects the joints and is due to inflammation. This type of arthritis is systemic and chronic. The cause of rheumatoid arthritis is currently unknown though it is genetic and can be linked to a specific gene of which over 90% of rheumatoid arthritis suffers all have. It is speculated that RA may be linked to some infections such as parovirus, Epstein Barr virus and rubella but no direct linkage has been discovered.

The inflammation that causes arthritis is due to your immune system thinking that your joints have an infection or something that requires an immune response. Your white blood cells, T cells, fibroblasts, neutrophils and other immune cells will then attack the joint causing inflammation.
